Terms and conditions
Last updated: 3 August 2026
These terms are governed by German law. The English version is a translation for convenience. In case of doubt, the German version applies.
These terms and conditions govern your access to and use of the website dein-smartcfo.com and your cooperation with dein-smart CFO, an offering of Seruno LLC, 7901 4th St N, Ste 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, USA (“dein-smart CFO”, “we”, “us”). By using the website you agree to these terms.
1. Scope and formation
No advisory or mandate contract is concluded through this website. The website provides information about what we offer. Cooperation begins only when we expressly agree it in a personal conversation, for example after the Smart CFO Check.
2. Service and remuneration
The Smart CFO Check and the ongoing support are free of charge for you. You will never receive an invoice from us. We are paid by the providers and experts in our network if you decide to go ahead with an implementation. If you decide against it, you incur no costs and no obligations whatsoever.
There is no minimum term and no notice period. You can end the cooperation at any time without giving a reason.
3. No investment, tax or legal advice
The content of this website is general information and not investment, tax or legal advice tailored to your personal situation. For tax structuring, legal questions and regulated activities we bring in licensed professionals from our network. Decisions about contracts, investments and cover are made by you alone.
4. Your cooperation
Meaningful support depends on the documents and information you provide being complete and accurate. Please tell us promptly about changes in your circumstances that are material to your financial plan.
5. Use of the website
You agree:
- not to use the website in a way that violates applicable law
- not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to parts of the website or related systems
- not to disrupt the availability or performance of the website
- not to read out or extract data by automated means without our written consent
- not to transmit malicious code
6. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images and software, is the property of Seruno LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly communicate or create derivative works from it without our prior written consent.
7. Third-party links
The website may contain links to third-party offerings that we neither operate nor control. We accept no responsibility for their content or practices.
8. Availability and warranty
We aim to keep the website continuously available but do not owe uninterrupted or error-free provision. Content is created to the best of our knowledge; we give no warranty as to the currency, accuracy or completeness of the general information.
9. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for damage arising from injury to life, body or health. In cases of simple negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation, meaning an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper performance possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely, and limited to the foreseeable damage typical of the contract. Any further liability is excluded. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.
10. Confidentiality
What is discussed in the course of working together is treated as confidential. Details are set out in the privacy policy. On request we sign a separate confidentiality agreement in advance.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
German law applies. If you are a consumer habitually resident in the EU, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. If the client is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Seruno LLC, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Dispute resolution
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
13. Changes
We may amend these terms from time to time. The current version is available at this URL together with the date of the last update.
